It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Kimberly Lynn Babstock Lewis, beloved wife and best friend, of Dion Clarence Lewis. Kim was born September 25, 1965 in St. John’s NL to the late Carl and Doreen Babstock. Kim passed away peacefully on September 30, 2017. Kim relocated to Ontario to pursue a successful career in engineering after she obtained her professional designation in 2005. Kim served numerous years as a member of the executive for the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario and devoted countless hours as an executive member with the Durham Communities Foundation, a charity foundation. Kim was a dedicated and loyal Associate at GHD of Whitby, Ontario, where she flourished in the role of Project Manager.
Kim was an avid animal lover and loved spending time caring for, playing and hiking with Dory, Duff and Duke, her 3 yellow Labs. In her spare time she also enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, baking, and motorcycling. Kim was an extraordinary loving, caring and giving person. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling and laughter will never be forgotten. She will be terribly missed by everyone that was lucky to have known and loved her.
Kim leaves to mourn her husband Dion Clarence Lewis, sisters Bonnie (Rick) Power and Carol Anne (Dave) Henley & family, brother Craig (Cheryl) Babstock & family, Stepmother Jean Howse, Stepsister Donna (Fraser) Winsor & Daughters, Stepbrother Darren Howse (Sarah Gillam and daughter), In-laws Clarence and Agnes Lewis, sisters-in-law Tina and Betti-Ann Power and family, Kim’s many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless loyal friends.
Kim, we will never forget your infectious laugher, your kind and loving heart and your tremendous spirit.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 328, Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, October 3rd from 7pm-9pm and Wednesday, October 4th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.
